Hand Sanitizer & Face Covering for Farms

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Onondaga, in cooperation with New York State Agriculture and Markets, will begin distributing hand sanitizer and face coverings to Onondaga County farms. Distribution will take place from CCE’s new office location in East Syracuse, starting Monday, May 11^th. Please see the map below for directions.

Please note that we do not have an official sign yet but will have a small interim sign posted by our driveway which is shortly before/after Dollar General (depending on your traveling direction)

Please call (315) 424-9485 to schedule your pickup. If you know the extension number of the person you are calling, you may dial it immediately. Dial 2 for the Agriculture program area or 9 for our general line operator.

Farmers will be asked to provide the following:

• Name:
• Farm name:
• Best contact number:
• Farm type:
• Number of farm employees (including owners):

Orders will be put together based on number of employees and farm type.

We will call back when your order is ready (same or the next day). Delivery may be possible based on  staff’s schedule.

Pickup will be contactless, with orders organized outside of our second entrance and can be picked up at any time. 

Face coverings are required to be worn by all. CDC guidance for COVID-19 procedures will be adhered to.

Distribution of the hand sanitizer and face coverings will ensure a safer sale and distribution of Onondaga Grown food, particularly at our U-Pick, farm-stand, and farm market operations.Perfect timing as fresh local strawberries become available in mid-June!
