Amie Chambers, Nutrition Program Educator.Amie received her Bachelor of Science from Syracuse University in Food Systems Management including 2 years of Dietetics. Before joining the Cooperative Extension team, Amie worked as a Nutrition Educator for the WIC Program, a supplemental nutrition program for women, infants and children of Onondaga and Cayuga Counties for a total of 13 years. At WIC she counseled pregnant and breastfeeding women and mothers of young children about their nutritional needs. She has experience working with local refugee populations as well as other diverse groups. Amie also has her CLC (certified lactation counselor) certificate from WIC. She enjoys working with families to promote healthy living through nutrition awareness.
