Clare Carney received her BS from SUNY Oneonta in Biology with a research concentration in Plant Propagation. Following her collegiate career, she worked with the National Park Service as a Vegetation Intern at New River Gorge National River working to protect forested lands from Hemlock Wooly Adelgid, Emerald Ash Borer, and other non-native pests. Before joining CCE, she was an environmental educator with NYSOPRHP at Clay Pit Ponds State Park Preserve. At CCE, Clare works on Urban and Community Forestry with the Save the Rain Tree Planting Program, Onondaga County Community Tree Plantings, County-wide Tree Stewards, and Tick Education programming.
