Kirstin Lyons, RD, MPH is a Community Nutrition Educator for CCE Onondaga County. She grew up on the Onondaga Nation in Nedrow, NY. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition at Syracuse University and completed her dietetic internship at the University of Delaware. She received her Registered Dietitian credentials in September of 2014. Kirstin went on to earn her Master of Public Health degree from the Central New York Master of Public Health Program because of her interest in promoting community health through nutrition. Prior to joining CCE she worked for Syracuse University’s Food Studies program as a lab assistant to culinary instructors. Kirstin’s work currently focuses on teaching youth and families about nutrition and how healthy cooking can be fun, delicious, and affordable! In her spare time Kirstin enjoys running in local road races with friends and family.
