As CCE Onondaga's Community Energy Educator, Shannon deliver the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority's (NYSERDA) Community Energy Engagement Program (CEEP). Shannon provides free support for residents and small businesses/farms in the Central New York region looking to make their home or workplace safer and more comfortable, while also reducing energy consumption and saving money on energy costs. 

Shannon also serves as the Community Energy Advisor for Onondaga and Oswego Counties. Community Energy Advisors connect residents and property owners to CCE's Smart Energy Choices Program. 

Through these roles, Shannon can provide support in the following ways:

  • Help you to make informed energy decisions
  • Inform you of financing options for energy efficiency and renewable energy projects and products
  • Guide you through the process of implementing a clean energy project
  • Connect you with the right energy contractors who can implement clean energy projects

Shannon grew up on the South Shore of Suffolk County, Long Island, clamming with her father and playing a ton of lacrosse. Shannon holds a Bachelors Degree in Psychology with a Double Minor in Sociology and Disaster Studies from SUNY New Paltz. In 2015, she moved to Syracuse to attend Graduate School and received a Masters Degree in Environmental Communication with a focus on Policy Analysis. Post-graduate, she received a Certificate in Environmental Decision Making and was designated a Certified Interpretive Guide through the National Association for Interpretation (NAI).

She lives with her cat, Rex. Her favorite food and best dish is eggplant parmesan.
