2025 Youth Fair Information

The Onondaga County 4-H Youth Fair is an annual event where 4-H members ages 5 to 19, showcase their projects, animal science and skills to the public.Youth present projects they've worked on throughout the year, showcasing their learning in areas like animal science, plant science, home economics, and more. Livestock shows are a major part of the fair, allowing youth to demonstrate their animal care and handling skills.  It's a culminating event for the year's 4-H activities, providing youth with opportunities for recognition, learning, and skill development.

Location and Date

NYS Fairgrounds-Youth Projects will be judged on Monday July 28th and be on display in the 4-H Youth Building until Wednesday July 30th. 

All animal Shows will be held in the Beef Barn.

Schedule of the Fair

Registrations are due by July 3rd-Click on program that will be participated in to register

Monday July 28 th-Project Evaluations-Youth Building

Tuesday July 29 th-Rabbit, Cavy and Poultry Shows-10:00 AM (click on the animal to register)

Wednesday July 29th-Dog Show-5:30 (tentatively)

Wednesday July 30 th-Goat Show-9:00 AM

Wednesday July 30 th -Dairy Cattle may arrive after 12:00 PM

Wednesday July 30th- Youth Building Projects released for pick up from 5:00-6:00 and County Wide Get Together-6:30 PM (see more information below).

Thursday July 31 stYouth Dairy Show-10:00 AM

Friday August 1 st-Youth Horse Show-10:00 AM

Friday August 1st-Jr. Holstein OnWego Dairy Show

                                           County Wide Get Together for all 4-H Youth

This is a chance for young people from across the county to come and celebrate at the Youth Fair.It will include games, activities and Ice Cream Social plus items from the Youth Building will be picked up that evening as the Youth Building will be closed after this event.

4-H Teen Council

Description: Teen Council is a county-wide group specifically for teen (13-18 years of age) 4-H Club members. The purpose of the group is to help teens develop leadership skills while helping to build a strong county 4-H program that benefits all of our members.
