Many Resources for Beginning & Underserved Farmers
All farmers are invited! Multiple Agriculture Agencies in Onondaga County and Community Partners will share information on their programs, resources, and services. All farmers, beginning farmers, underserved farmers, women farmers, and non-traditional farmers are invited! The information provided during this multi-agricultural agency event will help Onondaga farmers learn about and access the resources available to help them with their farm operations.
Through the generosity of the Onondaga Agriculture Council and NYS Fairgrounds, the event, including lunch, is Free. We ask participants to register so we have an accurate lunch count with any dietary restriction information and requests for language translation services.
The Ag Agencies and community partners collaborating and making formal presentations include:
Cornell Cooperative Extension of Onondaga County; Myron Thurston, CCE Food Supply Chain Marketing Specialist; Cornell Small Farms; Farm Bureau; Farm Service Agency; Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS); and the Syracuse Onondaga Food Systems Alliance (SOFSA).
In addition to the formal presentations listed above, tables will be set up with information about agricultural services and support from:
