The New York Farm Viability Institute (FVI) is excited to announce a new competitive grant program aimed at helping beginning farmers build financially sustainable, independent agricultural businesses. With $850,000 in funding available, applications are open until January 24, 2025. This program is supported by Governor Kathy Hochul and the New York State legislature, and administered in partnership with the NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets. Farmers are encouraged to apply and take advantage of this opportunity to grow their businesses.
