Join us for the Save the Rain volunteer tree planting event on Saturday, October 26th from
9am-1pm. Meeting location: Seals Community Center at Kirk Park, 300 W Borden Ave, Syracuse, NY 13205.
Please keep in mind all events are rain or shine and to dress appropriate for the weather. It’s also highly recommended to wear boots or sneakers to the tree planting event. We are digging into the soil with shovels and it’s for your own safety to wear appropriate foot wear.
The tree planting program is an important component of the Save the Rain program, a comprehensive stormwater management plan intended to reduce pollution to Onondaga Lake and its tributaries.
You can also register by calling Cornell Cooperative Extension of Onondaga County (315) 424-9485 ext. 230 or email kk569@cornell.edu. Or for more information on the Street Tree program, visit www.savetherain.us/green-programs/urban-forestry-program/
